"Touch Collection"

The "Touch Collection" is a project designed for a smart house. What ties the name to the work is how it functions for blind people: it is made easier to use through touch, using engraved relief in the material. The extrusion protects the user on contact with the product and prevents current from passing through it, in the case of the socket. It is an innovative product that tries to serve and simplify daily life generally, though it would be aimed at a middle-to-high income bracket, since the materials involved are fairly expensive.

The collection is made up of four functions, two of them combined. The needs it covers are listed below.

The design is based on a standard horizontal form from which the other functions grow. I try to relate each element to the one before it, creating a family of products defined by the contrast of the materials and, above all, by how the reliefs relate to one another — letting you feel whether the object is in one position or the other.
