Electric charger for VivaGym
This first project is a type-2 electric charger, paired with an app, for hybrid and fully electric vehicles parked at VivaGym facilities.
The design is intended for individual use, and its defining feature is that it slides along a horizontal axis at floor level to make the interaction between user and product easier. You can park nose-in or reversed, whichever suits the position of your charging port, since vehicles vary. Among its other functions, the charger is activated through the app using a single-use QR code that the unit reads.
The unit carries two information screens. The upper one reports the charging specification and the share of energy generated by the gym itself — the more people training, the more energy they produce, and the more electricity is saved. The screen on the front face reports only the car's charge level. Activation runs through the QR reader built into that same front face.



The image above shows the charger in section. Travel along the rail is handled by a drag chain — carrying the electrical cabling inside it — housed within the metal structure. That structure is designed not to be seen: a channel of the right depth and length is cut first, so the structure sits flush with the floor and only its top face remains visible.

As mentioned, the unit is paired with an app I also designed. It has five functions: a home page where you book classes; a second screen where you can request a training plan written by a professional; then search, gym news and information, and finally the parking option.
